Generative Outcomes won't join Preserves

Hi,

I am trying to use the generative feature to design a bracket.

I have set my obstacles, preserves and load case but the generative outcomes hardly attach to the preserve. Is there a way I can influence the outcome to flow smoothly into the preserve?

I have attached screenshots of what the generative outcome is (named 'Screenshot 1 & 2') and I have also included pictures of other generative outcomes that show the result I would like (named 'Desired Result').

Thanks, Harry

Feel free to add fillets, massage the TSpline, or perform other edits as needed.

It's worth noting that the way the booleans happen with the obstacles can create a lot of stress risers, knife edges, etc. (since it is just a straight-up boolean cut). You will definitely need to perform some manual work when this happens.

@Anonymous - this seems like an unexpected result.  Would you be willing to share the design with us, so that we can investigate further?

Hi Jeff, thanks for the reply.

Here is the link for the generative set up - https://a360.co/2NqNPgf (here are the sub components if required https://a360.co/2Nh3xKM and https://a360.co/30cl2PT )

thanks for sharing the design, @harry.allinson.  I think I was a bit confused by your second screenshot and the title of this post - I thought you had regions of the solution that were actually physically disconnected from the preserves completely.  Instead, I now understand that you really just want to change how the generated geometry joins with the preserves.  That is relatively easy to do in Fusion by editing the Form feature in the design recipe.  Alternatively, you can choose to export a version of the generated geometry that is before the final convergence.  Sometimes that geometry is a bit more hefty than the final result, but can sometimes be a bit smoother in its transition regions.  Just another thing to try.

Here is a screencast showing a couple of things you can do with these models:
