Generative Design study stuck (student licens)

Hi, 

I have recently starten several generative Design studies. Early on I noticed a Problem in the Model and tried to cancle all studies. This was successfull exept for the studies which where already running.

Two of them seem not to converge at all and seem to be frozen (20h+) with no progress at all.

I can not solve any other Problem as long they are stuck. How can I remove them ?

I'm curious why we're not converging quickly. I assume you've likely run the Previewer command which should be able to complete the first ~eight iterations successfully.

Is their a way for you to cancel those studies manually ?

Hi Valentin,

In order to manually cancel a generate, you must do so before the first outcome iteration is generated. After that point, we'll remove the Cancel entry from the Action column in the Job Status dialog.

As you've discovered, since your user account has a student entitlement you're limited to a maximum of two concurrent jobs. In this scenario, a timeout will kick-in after 24 hours if we cannot converge upon a final iteration that meets all criteria, and the job will automatically cancel itself, and return all outcomes that could be generated. You'll be able to send another Generate job after 24 hours (of course)

The 24h limit has worked as aspected and I was able to issue new studies.  

But I have a follow up question: Is there also a limit on how many studies I can run in given time frame, for example 24h? I could successfully converge three studies since I got access again, but it seems like everything froze again.

I am very grateful for getting free access at all, so I would understand a compute-limit like that of course. But it would be nice to know how this is handled on the Server so I can do some better managment on my side.
