Fusion splits my body into 3 parts instead of 2. Combine after spliting doesnt work.

Hi.

I have a problem with my little itx motherboard tray. I cannot split it into 2 halfs. I always get 3 parts. Is there a way to do it without starting again from beggining?

Excuse my skill, its my first time using CAD.

I hope I understand the line you wanted to split your body with.  If so, Extrude a Surface fromt he line that completely crosses the body.  Use this Surface with the Split Body command.  Your model is attached, note there is a Body5 and Body11.

Thank you for help! When I do exactly as You say (to my understanding ofc), I get 3 bodies. But this time I can merge 2 of them and end with the same result as you. Works for me great, despite the fact I do not understand why 3 bodies again 🙂 If you don mind explaining why, I would love to hear.

I created a video of the process I used.  Play close attention to be sure the surface body created as the cutting plane extends outside the complete existing body.  I emphasis this in the video.
