Fusion opens files from desktop app in browser. When opening from browser, the application is not detected. (FIXED)

I can start Fusion and navigate to any of my project files. When I double click it, Fusion opens a browser and takes me to that file online. When I try to open it in desktop from the website, it displays an orange error bar across the top of the screen that says, "Fusion 360 is not installed on your system. You can download and install Fusion 360 to continue editing this file."

I've included a screen shot showing that Fusion is open and running while not being detected by the website.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, signed in, signed out, cleared the cache, deleted the F folder inside the AppData folder, and said a few bad words with no fix to the situation.

** In case you don't come across it, when opening files from file->open, I had success. Credit to someone else in a similar post. Best luck.

Hello to everyone,

Facing exactly the same issue since this morning, tried at least 3 times the delete cache/reset/unistall/re-install and nothing has changed...

One more note, when you are trying to open from the browser (open in desktop) the fusion flashes on the taskbar but no model appears in the app.

Using version 2.0.17457 x86_64 on windows 10.

Update: Also, when trying to open "editable documents" nothing appears to exist (even though that I could see them in separate folders...)

Hello @hoblet.dev @sfyris_c

Thank you so much for reporting the issue. I can see some community members reported it as resolved already. I still reported it to Autodesk development teams - if it still occurs, please try to use the following workaround for now:

Editable Fusion 360 documents open on web browser instead of Fusion 360 application for personal lic...

I hope it helps.
