Fusion HOME bugged

So my fusion got corrupted after a crash. So i reinstalled it from scratch.

Now it takes like 2 minutes to start, where it previously was like 15 seconds.

In addition this HOME button is bugged to hell. If you click it there is no apparent way of getting back to design mode from the UI itself.

You can press CTRL-N to make a new design, and it brings you back, but please, these kinds of things need to be fixed.

In this case, when you press HOME like I show in the video above, the DATA PANEL button get grayed out, so you can no longer using the UI go back to the design panel.

So if you have something you were working on and accidentally clicked home, you are screwed. 😞

At least make the Data Panel button clickable from Home mode, as this home thingy is ugly as...and even more useless than...

Hi @toffypops,

Thanks for sharing the details, that helps a lot. To investigate both the slow startup and the HOME navigation issue, we’ll need diagnostic logs and a performance report from your system.

Try to restart computer and see if the problem fix. If not please

1. Collect Fusion 360 Diagnostic Logs

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open Fusion 360
  2. Click on your profile icon (top right corner)
  3. Go to Help → Support and Diagnostics → Diagnostic Logs
  4. Click “Create Diagnostic Log Files”
  5. Once complete, a ZIP file will be generated automatically

Please upload/share that ZIP file with us.

2. Generate Performance Report

  1. In Fusion 360, go to:
Help → Support and Diagnostics → Report Performance Issue
  2. Record for at least 20 Seconds and share the report number

And again The fusion team incorporate a new feature that has no design value.

Again they do not provide a full disable function in the settings for the home-feature just like with assistant.

And again they make it difficult for users to navigate.

A user should not need to have to open a new document to reaccess productivity.

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to DISABLE the DATA PANEL BUTTON on top left when you enter Home?

I am baffled by all these weird UI design choices.

Do you use AI to program your software without zero human quality control and then again use AI to generate community posts?

Any normal user would agree that disabling natural navigation logic in a software is countering productivity on a daily basis.

Forcing a user to a UI space they never use when they have no documents open is insanely unnecessary.

Sorry for being blunt. But whoever makes the decisions need to start testing bugs before releasing them as new features.

If it is not broken, don't fix it.

If users like it , don't glamor it!

less is more. especially when time is of the essence

Please. for the love of all software gods.
