As the title says, I can never get Fusion 360 to launch unless its after a clean install. If I've already launched the program once it will just hang on the start up with the UI partially loaded and the title status say 'Unresponsive'. I've followed a number of different posts that deal with this issue and most say that it needs a clean install, which works well though takes some time and really shouldn't be necessary. I think the issue is with the credentials accessing the server. I've added everything in my firewall though it still doens't work. Is there some way to just wipe the login details so they have to be re-entered at startup? I think that would prevent the UI hanging.

Having same issue... started Tuesday.. worked perfect Monday night. Woke up Tuesday and I think fusion was updated when I launched and now I have no tool bar across the top showing. UI is not fully loading. I have preformed a clean install and all drivers are updated.

It's doing the same thing for me on a 2016 Macbook Pro 16" running Big Sur 11.2.3.  Annoying as hell.

I hadn't used Fusion 360 for over a week and loaded it up today to get newer log files (See attached), but it ended up working. I think it was having an issue with server side verification which was causing the program to hang on start up. There must have been some changes on the Fusion 360 end as I haven't touched it or changed my setup in any way for the last week or so. But anyway its working now.

@methane2k ,

One workaround is to force Fusion 360 to use software rendering by setting a system Environment Variable.

  1. Right-click on My Computer/This PC on the Desktop or in the Start Menu and select “Properties”
  2. In the left column of the System window that appears, select “Advanced System Settings”
  3. Within the System Properties window that appears, click “Environment Variables” in the bottom right
  4. Within Environment Variables, click “New…” under the System Variables section
  5. For Variable Name, enter QT_OPENGL
  6. For Variable Value, enter software
  7. Click OK to save the new variable
  8. Launch Fusion 360

Let me know if this works

Hi @Anonymous ,

I can see you are on old build 2.0.9937.

Can you please update to latest build and see if it works?
