Fusion 360 no Version history

Was working in fusion 360 today and wanted to revert to a old vesrion of a design cause i changed a cap from a film to a smt and wanted to verify it, long story short.

There is no "V10" drop down option on the file anymore?
The only way to access this old version is to go to the website and restore it from there?

I extremely hate this, is there some way to get it back where it was before?
It looks like it auto updated to collaborative mode? Can i turn that off? I'm a single seat and don't need this.

Hi @info9LPTW

It sounds like you may be in the newer experience where version access behaves a bit differently.

You can still access version history directly in Fusion by right-clicking the design in the Data Panel (browser) and selecting “Version History”. That should bring up the list of previous versions without needing to go to the web.

(See image for reference.)

Regarding the change you’re seeing with the missing dropdown and possible shift to collaborative behavior, I’d like to understand your setup a bit better to guide you correctly. Could you please share a screenshot or short video of what you’re seeing?

Also, please include:

  • Your Fusion version
  • Your operating system

This will help us confirm whether this is expected behavior or something specific to your environment.

I've got the same problem. Now when I go to save a file I don't get any versioning information unless I specifically choose to create a version. This is after I was informed that I have a "new" collaborative hub. If collaborative means I lose all my version history, that really, really sucks!

Edit: I can see the little files icon and I see that's where the version history is now saved. No version numbers. Why, but why, do you guys have to go and break something that was working just fine?

I hear there's a new version of FreeCAD out and it is looking very tempting!

I agree. agree really bad. The funny thing is  , even the tutorial from dsouzasujay doesn't work in his own demonstration!!! why  is he posting it , I don't know...

I will send the version and everything when they will be able to show that this sorted in their own tutorial/demonstration, otherwise a waste of time.

Welcome to CE Hub deprecated functionality we have all been using and STILL NEED.

The information we have received in response is comical.

We need to know when "Versioning for Configured Designs" will be restored.

Hello Obulesub, there is no information in this entire thread that is helpful to users who have lost basic functionality as the result of CE Hub Migration.  The issues are summarized in Comment 17 of my Support Case number 25762418.  We need the Fusion Team to take action to resolve the issues.  No amount of wishful thinking and workarounds are going to resolve these issues.  We need DATA (lost Version numbers) and functionality restored.  This is day 10 of the CE Hub Migration nightmare.  I'm sure there are users who haven't discovered what they have lost yet and when they do they won't appreciate it.  The sooner this can be addressed the better for all.  Thanks for passing this message on to all who need to hear it.

I will add to this.  Not having the version number is very disrupting to the work flow many of us have created.  I hope this is something that can be reversed or its impact mitigated soon.

This is catastrophic for my business.

My entire workflow depended on the version numbers in my Fusion models. Every drawing has a "V" version number, and every 3D-printed product is marked with the corresponding version number. When I need to identify which model created a specific product, I simply match the version number on the part to the version number in Fusion and then review the model.

Now all of those version histories are gone.

How can I see the old version numbers on each of the models.

Telling me there is no way is unacceptable.

And the new HISTORY pain is a  pain in the ass, it is so SLOWWWWWWWW!!!!!

This has been a headache for us as a company, we have gotten used to a workflow of using Revision Number to overcome Fusion's buggy CAM software.

Removing the Revision Number feature has only made our job harder.

Here's hoping for a quick resolution to this problem and please don't put in the "Insider Program".

Thanks
