Fusion 360 Desktop Cannot Connect to Hub After Mac Migration - API Returns 403

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue where Fusion 360 desktop client cannot connect to my hub after migrating to a new Mac using Migration Assistant. The web client works fine, but the desktop application fails immediately on startup.

Environment:

  • Fusion 360 2703.1.20 (Education License)
  • macOS 26.5 (M-series Mac, newly migrated)
  • Hub ID: [Education hub - gmail based]
  • User ID: E88J9*****

Problem:

When launching Fusion 360, I get these errors:

  • "Cannot switch to online mode either. Please check your internet connection."
  • "Fusion was unable to save sufficient data for Offline mode and needs to go Online."

Diagnostics:

  1. Web client works fine – gmail*****.autodesk360.com loads perfectly in browser, all projects visible (Admin Project, Default Project, etc.)
  2. Network connectivity confirmed – All other Autodesk services respond normally
  3. API investigation – Desktop client fails at these endpoints:
  4. Token validation – Tested with valid OAuth token from web client → Same 403 response
  5. Desktop logs show – Failed to get preferences for team hub gmail******

What I've tried:

  • Clean Fusion reinstallation
  • Cache/keychain cleanup
  • VPN connectivity testing
  • DNS resolution verification

Why it matters:

  • The hub is accessible and functional in the web client
  • The error is API-level (403 Forbidden), not network connectivity
  • This suggests a backend permission issue specific to the desktop API endpoint

Request:
Could a staff member check the hub gmail***** backend permissions? Something may have gotten corrupted or reset during the Mac migration process. I can provide full Hub ID and User ID via private message to Autodesk support staff if needed.

Thank you!

The HTTP 403 error is a known issue when migrating Fusion 360 to a new Mac using Migration Assistant. The migration process corrupts cached keychain credentials and hidden API state files, causing the desktop client to send blocked authentication headers.

To resolve your issue, you can enter here.

Thanks for the response. I see the issue is related to Migration Assistant corruption. However, the standard troubleshooting steps don't apply here — my hub IS accessible in the web client at gmail2427494.autodesk360.com, and projects are visible. The desktop client specifically fails with HTTP 403 on the FusionTeam API endpoints. This appears to be the known Migration Assistant issue you mentioned. Could you provide specific steps to resolve the corrupted keychain credentials and hidden API state files?"
