Fusion 360 crashing when joints are edited or created

Hello,

I am having a big problem because whenever I try to edit a joint. Fusion 360 stays on the loading bar forever.

Is there anything I can do about this?

I am on version 2.0.3797. This has been particularly bad since the December 5th update.

Hi,

Would you mind sharing your design with me? you can email the link to the design rajDOTkumarDOTilanchelianATautodeskDOTcom. Do you have to force quit Fusion at this point? When you do, do you get a crash report? If you do can you please send the reports.

Hi Ariel,

Sharing it as a step file is not going to help. Can you use the share option with in Fusion 360? You can find out how to use it from here - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/a360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-sh...

Also if you can send me which of the joints that you edit is crashing that would be helpful!

I do not get the option to share as a public link.

I only get blurred options to share to grabcad and share to fusion 360 gallery.

Also Rigid 8 is the joint I am trying to edit.

1. Can you right click on the master assembly and check if you see the "Share public link" option?

2. Can you confirm if your trial or subscription has not expired?

3. Can you try to invite my email into your project directly?

     a. Go to the Data Panel - > The project where the assembly is

     b. People - Invite

     c. my email ID rajDOTkumarDOTilanchelianATautodeskDOTcom

Thanks. I will look at it as soon as i receive the email. I have not received the previous email with the STEP file either. You can paste the share link as a private message in here too.

Thanks for the invite to your project. I opened the assembly and did an edit on joint Rigid8 and was able to successfully get the UI. I safely cancelled out of the edit and did not crash either. Can you briefly explain what leads to a crash of the application for you on applying the joints?

I tried this on a Windows 10 machine.

the problem is not getting the user interface. The problem is actually trying to do an edit. So if you were to change the offset Z value, then the program crashes at 99 percent.

It gets stuck at computing position 8: 99%

I am also running windows 10.
