Fusion 360 crashes when trying to save renderings

Hi All,

I am having a hard time trying to save renderings (generated in the cloud or locally). Every time I try doing so Fusion 360 crashes and the program has to be reinitiated but I cannot save the renderings to my laptop. Bear in mind the renderings do appear on the bottom Rendering Gallery. So I do not think it is a problem there.

Also, it does not seem to be an issue with a specific 3D model/file as I have tried the same procedure with different files. I have checked for not supported characters in the components and it all looks ok.

Any tips on how to solve the issue?

Thanks,
Felipe

Hi All,

I wanted to reach out to provide an update on this problem. While the development team has been unable to find the root cause of this issue at this time, they will be continuing to investigate this problem with high priority. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

While this behavior is investigated, please work around the issue by downloading your renderings from http://rendering.360.autodesk.com.

Having the same exact issue here on a Mac version of Fusion (works fine on my PC). What's the fix for this?

Hi @Anonymous

I've created a post with more details on this issue and our suggested workaround while it is investigated:

Hi @paul.clauss

I have been using the http://rendering.360.autodesk.com webpage as you have suggested previously. This backdoor was working until last Friday. After that, I sent the images to the cloud render but it is never ready. One of them was sent Friday and there is no response so far. Are you aware of this situation? The render image sizes are 1920 x 1080. Would you possibly know the issue?

Thank you for the assistance,
Felipe

Hi @felipeherr

Thanks for posting! Its possible that there was a connectivity or translation issue when you initially tried to download the rendering from the website - do you have any problems if you re-download the same rendering this morning?

If so, please let me know - it may help for you to share the source Fusion design with me if it seems that this particular rendering cannot be downloaded. You may also be able to work around this by viewing the rendering in the web browser, right clicking it, and selecting "Save picture as."

I hope this helps. We appreciate you reaching out about this problem behavior.

Hi @paul.clauss

I apologize for the unwanted alarm. It was probably some issue with connectivity from my computer during Friday/weekend. The renderings are all good now and able to save them as well.

Thanks for the support anyway.
