Full right click sketch menu missing

Fusion seems to have gotten into a state where it will no longer bring up the full menu with a right click in sketch mode.  This is all I can get:

To be honest I've always found the right click menu to be a bit chaotic when sketching, like you don't always know if you're going to get the full menu or this abbreviated one.  I think it has to do with still being in command mode, but it's not always clear whether you are still in a command mode or not.

This seems to not be limited to a specific file/design.  I'll keep playing and see if I can't narrow it down but if anyone has any thoughts, I would like to hear them.

Hi @kb9ydn

Thanks for posting. I believe the truncated menu should be shown if the right click is performed while a command is active and the full menu should appear in a sketch if no command is active. Is this the behavior on your end?

With that said, I get the full menu after a delete command, and deleting an entity and then selecting a new command and right clicking gives the right click menu, but shows the newly selected command at the top ("repeat (insert

sketch command)").repeat.png

If you can confirm a sequence of mouse clicks that result in the truncated menu, I'm happy to have a look on my end. I'd also be curious if an uninstall/reinstall resolves these UI issues.

Hopefully this helps! Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Yeah, that's how I've always understood it to work.  But I think I see what's going on now.  One thing I forgot to mention is that I had turned on the new UI preview with the tabbed menus.  This seems to change things such that you only get the truncated right click menu during sketching and the constraints are also missing from the sketch palette.  I could swear it didn't do this when I first turned on the preview but maybe I just didn't notice it right away.

Not sure if it's supposed to be like this or not, but since it's clearly still in beta it's understandable.

Either way, I'm definitely liking the tabbed command bar.  So much in fact I may stop using the right click menu altogether.  Normally I prefer right click initiated context menus, but I just can't get into the pie menu thing.  I just prefer rectangular popup menus with small linearly arranged icons.

Hi @kb9ydn

Thanks for the response and apologies for my delay.

You are correct - this seems to be related to the tabbed UI preview. I'm really unsure of what changes are being made to the right click menus as the tabs are being introduced, but kind of like the idea of having the full right click menu in any situation. I'd recommend posting the feedback you've provided on this thread (or even just a link to it) over in the Preview Functionality board, as our product management team scours that board more closely for feedback. We appreciate your input.

It sounds like you may prefer the "S" key shortcuts to the right click menu - just hit "S" and begin typing the name of any command in Fusion to pull it up.
