I am having an with the form tool  I am trying to create, it is upside down in the library display regardless of the axis orientation being correct in selection?  Is this a bug or am I missing something?  I'm stumped, very frustrating because it did appear correctly the first time but i needed to make a correction in the tool and afterwards nothing I do will allow it to display correctly now.  help!  see images below for clearer understanding of the issue.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi @chris

Thanks for posting! What happens if you select the "Flip Axis" checkbox in your second screenshot (when creating the form mill)?

Hopefully that will correct the tool! If not, please share the file containing the sketch with me - I'm happy to have a look.

when i try and flip the axis it will flip the tool preview, but it also flips the red + sign to the back of the tool (shank top) rather than the bottom (tip).  here is the file:

here is the screenshot of the wrong control point but correct tool display from "flip axis" check box.

Hi @chris

Thanks for sharing the file! I believe this issue is due to the sketch originally being created on the backside of the YZ plane. I found that I was able to get the tool working by copying the sketch into a new file and then not flipping it to the seemingly "correct" orientation. This is shown in the screencast below:

I believe this is related to a known issue, CAM-8798, and have reached out to make the development team aware of your experience. Please let me know if you have any questions.

i went in and reassigned the plane to the XY plane, not sure how it got off of that plane, probably messed something up along the way, it was crashing while trying to get it full constrained so a lot of restarts occurred on this one and it was late when i was working on it, so who knows.  anyhow once i reassigned to the XY front plane, i was able to get the correct display and output point to be visible and all was well in the world!  🙂

Thanks so much for your help!!
