I have attached the file that I am talking about. if you go to the back, you will see a slit that I can't get filled. Help will be much appreciated!!!

The model you attached is a Derived component.  Can you attach the model it was derived from?

I feel you are trying to solve an issue, the gap, that never should have occurred.  Take a look at my Screencast and you will see how I prepared the model so I could model the top without the gap.  Model is attached.

By the way, why did you choose to send me a private message asking me to look at your forum post?  If I am online, I look at most posts but it is up to me to choose the ones I want to, or feel I can answer.
