Use case:
Create multiple 3D designs based on the same sketch. The sketch has some key dimensions set as user parameters. Each 3D design needs to customize some of those dimensions.
Current 'solution':
Include the design with the sketch ('parent' design) into the 3D designs ('children') and use the sketch. In order to change the dimensions in the child design, one needs to break the link with the parent design.
Problem/Requirements:
The current solution is akin to just making a copy of the parent design. Breaking the link means that updates in the 'master sketch' are lost in the children. Hence the feature request: being able to redefine/override user parameters in children WITHOUT BREAKING THE LINK with parent. Alternatively, to have another workflow where it is possible to have only 1 master copy of the original sketch where edits are performed but parameters are customizable in children.
It seems like a core feature for good reusability and deduplication of work, unless I'm missing an alternative workflow.
