faulty sweep, not connecting

Hi there, For some reason my sweep does not want to close.. it gets most of the way but right at the end it says there is a error. If you look at the image you will notice there is a angle difference. Please help.

I'd like to take a closer look but it's hard to draw a conclusion based on the png you shared.  Is it possible to share an f3d file with this not-quite-completed sweep in it?

Couple of things, 

Your profile, is on an offset plane.

Your profile is a straight line, when being swept the inside endpoints are not allowed to overlap, (layman's opinion) so your gap means the end points have travelled the loop.

Use Plane on the path, select the surface hole edge.  Draw the straight line, will be normal to the path, and sweep it.

Or, Split the lower surface with the inside line of the sketch, and Patch > Loft will bridge the gap, (pictured)
