Extrude Using Bodies/Components

I have an existing body (or component). I want to do an extrude or revolve or loft or any of the other operations that normally only apply to sketches, but do it using the body or component as the thing that will be the basis of the extrusion or other operation. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Without a picture of what you are trying to achieve, I interrupt your description as using the "Project / Include" command when doing a new body or component sketch.  With this command you can project the outline of another body or component into your sketch.  The resulting sketch is linked to the body or component you projected from so any changes will affect both bodies or components.

You also could be talking about the "Combine" command you can use between bodies.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. But, no those approaches won't work. I have two objects. One of them has a fairly complex 3D shape, not a simple extrusion of a sketch. I want to take that object and revolve it through the other object, doing a cut operation so that a sort of curved tunnel gets created in the target object where the walls of the tunnel get defined by the shape of the cutting object.

I believe then the answer is to use the "Combine" command, which can only be used on bodies.  You would take the profile shape from a plane cut through one of your parts, create a sketch from it, and then extrude it.  You would then move this body into the position in your other body and sue a "Combine - Cut" to get the profile in the other body.  This is a static process as I do not see anyway of dynamically passing a profile shape through another body and do a cut along the travel path.

Could you attach a sample of your two bodies so I can take a look and maybe demonstrate what I am talking about.  I have attached a screencast of my proposed idea using my shapes.  One is like I revolved my shape body inside another body to achieve a void and the other is like I passed a shape body through another body.
