exporting to dxf (splines to poly lines)

Hello, When I try to use the export to dxf (splines to polylines) I click on the sketch and use the dxf function on the bottom of the sketch pull-down list and I hit ok it just tells me to first activate a sketch. But my sketch was activated, but it doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions? I have used this function before and it worked fine. It just tells me that there is no active sketch.

Hi @Anonymous,

Yep, this is something we are aware of. Unfortunately, the latest update busted a few API including this one. We are working on fixing it. In the meantime, try this:

  • Download and extract the Bundle
  • In Fusion 360, open Scripts and Add-Ins
  • Under Add-Ins, select the green plus sign next to my addins
  • Select the extracted .zip file and select open
  • Then Run the newly added add-in.
    • You may need to disable the bad add-in in order to distinguish between the two
  • With the new add-in, just left-click the sketch in the browser to highlight it, and then use the command. It works a bit differently than the last one.

Is this still an issue over a year later? I have recently tried to trace some pictures in Fusion and output a dxf and sure enough the splines were missing....this is 1/10/2019
