Exporting as stl wrong size

Hi, I downloaded a STEP drawing from mcmaster and made some modifications.

When I tried to export as stl and load it in cura, I get "Auto scaled object to 10000% of original size".

When I tried to scale to 100%, it was very small as if the fusion360 export was not to scale.

I created other components and exported just fine before without messing with any settings. I am wondering what settings cause the export to be not to scale?

I attached the .f3d and the resultant .stl file

Hello,

Your design units is in inches. So the data in the STL file are considered to be in inches (STL files are unitless). But Cura expects values in millimeters.

Change the design units to millimeters before exporting the STL file.

thanks! i did not know stl was mm only.

STL files are unitless. Units are set by the software that reads the file. Cura interprets the value read in millimeters.
