Export DXF default unit problem with custom unit settings

Problem: I need to export DXFs (as one does for a plasma cutter) the default units for DXF export are set to cm.  My document settings are set to custom: mm and kg.

The DXF export feature is not following the document settings when custom units are used. Its even worse if I set my units to the custom option of inches and pounds; again DXF export defaults to cm.

Using the pulldown to change the DXF unit export once is not remembered; this task would have to be performed every single time one wants to export a DXF (50+ times in my case).

If I change my document units back to the default options i.e. mm & grams, or inch and ounces, then the DXF export defaults follow the document settings.

This is all non-intuitive software behavior.  99% of the work I do uses mm+kg or inches+lbs,  The recent introduction of custom units finally meant that I no longer needed to constantly toggle unit settings when checking weights, but now I have to toggle whenever exporting DXFs.

This is a bug and was reported a few weeks ago and logged by AutoDesk. Don't know when the fix will be released.

Hello @Garret_H

Latest Fusion update should have this issue fixed.

Could you please try updating the Fusion to latest version? Please let me know if the issue persists.

I'm having the same issue with the most recent update, but with exporting STEP files. If I have my units set to Inch and Lbmass, the STEP files export with metric dimensions. Once I select the default Inch/Ouncemass, then it exports with the stated units.

I had just noticed about a week ago that there were custom units, so I've been making my parts as such because it's really nice to simply see how many lbs my assemblies weigh instead of having to do the ounce-to-lbs on a calculator. Now I know that those parts I output in preparation for production have incorrect units, which I'll have to go back and correct as they come up...
