Event simulation issues

Dear autodesk engineers,

Is is normal that event simulation always breaks component.

I tried event simulation for almost 2 weeks now and my component always broke.

I was wondering and I tried to follow the sample given by your team and follow instruction in this clip (http://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-A22E2BC5-D0DF-46ED-B75E-D9CE8D40752E)

The result is the same. Component break.

Are you sure that there not a problem with your soft.

Thank you in advance for answering.

Hello @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! Your results of the sample simulation from our Fusion 360 Learning site indeed do not correspond with the expected results:

Which material have you applied to the components? Can you share the link to the sample?

Thank you in advance!

Dear @pawel.potyrala,

For the sample provided by your team, I used the same material.

For my own model, I used the same one, and other like ABS Plastic (for the upper body), Copper and Acetal resin for the PCB (fixed body).

Best regards.

Dear @pawel.potyrala

I think the problem is that, there is no deformation. In case of contact (colision) the result is always the same. Non fixed body break themselves.

In case I am right, is it possible to use another simulation to reproduce the effect of snapfit like your demo?

Best regards.

Hi @Anonymous,

I believe you had "Allow element deletion" activated in your simulation settings. Here's the comparison: https://a360.co/2B04zWK. The example in our learning site does not simulate part breakage - therefore the option is deactivated.

Let me know if that helps.

@pawel.potyrala,

Thank you so much for your help.

Your solution is working. Now, I must modify a little bit the model to have the best result.

Best regards.
