Error Generating Additive Toolpath

I've been attempting to take one of my models and 3D print it with an Ultimaker 3, but when I go to calculate the layers or generate the toolpath I get this error:
"

Error: Unexpected problems while preparing toolpath creation.

Error: No FFF Context available.

Error: TorpedoFeature::getTorpedoBuildstyleData(): Could not read FFF resources

Error: Could not create FFF Context, FFF machines are not available

Error: IronAdditiveUtils::getLibTorpedoDllWrapper():Library cant be loaded, FFF machines are not available
"
I have the Ultimaker 3 machine and post processor from the Fusion 360 Library downloaded and selected in the setup, what am I doing wrong? I've been successfully posting programs for various lathes and mills for a few weeks now but I'm stumped by this. Did I miss a step?

I am running windows 8.

the weird thing for me is that all my milling and lathe turning works. I can make a model set it up and create an NC file of g code and make  a part on a machine. (using adaptive 2d and 3d along with boring, facing, drilling, and finish passes with a pencil. using drills end mills and face mills. )

I cant even get a tool path to generate in additive.

Same for me. Everything else works just fine and as I said previously, even the additive works on another PC. That’s one of the benefits of cloud based software, you can just open up the project on another PC. Give it a whirl.

Hi all,

I can confirm we are aware of this issue, and a fix will be implemented in a future release - apologies for this.

You should find in most cases, that you can still successfully generate, simulate, and post your toolpath.

If my answer has helped you, please click "Accept Solution".
If not, please reply back and tag me.

Thanks,

Hi @martinlmarriott and @rwyatt922195 ,

For Windows 7, can you guys try installing this package https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/microsoft-security-advisory-insecure-library-loading-could... and test FFF workflow and let us know.

Thank you

Thanks very much for trying to help with this issue. I was excited to see your suggestion which held out the hope of a resolution to this ongoing problem. However my hopes were soon dashed as when I followed the link you give to the Microsoft download page I tried to download the package (Win7 x64) and got this message:-

"We're sorry, this download is no longer available."

Do you have a copy of this "msu" package that you can link to or email to me?

May be you can try this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=47442 update. I am not sure whether this solves the issue but we can try.

After a quick Google, I did find the "Windows6.1-KB2533623-x64.msu" file which was the original target (found in the Microsoft archive). When I run this I get:-

"This file is not applicable to your computer" (yes my computer does really run x64)

I then tried your second link which actually points to a different package which purports to do the same thing. This file was "Windows6.1-KB3063858-x64.msu". This also gives:-

"This file is not applicable to your computer"

Frustrating.

Good Morning all,
I have the same problem and have tried pretty much everything that can be found in the Fusion Forums. I hope it will be fixed in the next update. Here is the link to the German forum and mine opened there

Hi @F19Aurora ,

Can you describe more about your problem with some screen shots and the related f3d file?

What I understood from the German translated forum, is that you are able to generate toolpath with default Fusion Library Print Settings. When you want to use the print setting which you modified and saved in the local, then you cannot generate the toolpath ? What is the error ?

Thanks

@martinlmarriott Sorry, I cant help further in this issue, since its Windows 7 and each OS environment can be different, may be try updating the windows 7 to latest package. Moreover, please check the Autodesk Fusion 360 requirements https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Sys...

Thanks

That's right. As soon as you copy an original Fusion library and paste it locally and only change one parameter, a toolpath can no longer be generated. I just take the original and adjust it directly in the model application. But then only for this model.
