Error Generating Additive Toolpath

mpmachineshop

I've been attempting to take one of my models and 3D print it with an Ultimaker 3, but when I go to calculate the layers or generate the toolpath I get this error:
"

Error: Unexpected problems while preparing toolpath creation.

Error: No FFF Context available.

Error: TorpedoFeature::getTorpedoBuildstyleData(): Could not read FFF resources

Error: Could not create FFF Context, FFF machines are not available

Error: IronAdditiveUtils::getLibTorpedoDllWrapper():Library cant be loaded, FFF machines are not available
"
I have the Ultimaker 3 machine and post processor from the Fusion 360 Library downloaded and selected in the setup, what am I doing wrong? I've been successfully posting programs for various lathes and mills for a few weeks now but I'm stumped by this. Did I miss a step?

I have the exact same issue and cannot find what's wrong, toolpaths that previously worked fine do not work anymore either.

This was already logged internally, and will be fixed in the October release, sorry about that.

Last version installed, always the same problem.

I notice in the "Print setting library", no information on the right tab, and in the "Print Setting Editor" nothing to edit !

Hi nureka3U29V,

These issues will be resolved in the next update, and the fixed version is expected to be released at the end of October. Before that, you can also try to create an English Windows account to temporarily solve these issues.

I have the exact same problem, even after fusion updated today. Is they any work around to get this working again?

Can you use the latest build (2.0.9142) to try to generate the FFF toolpath? Hope it works.

I am still experiencing this issue after the latest update. Is there another update coming or do I have a different problem? Version: 2.0.9305

Hi mpmachineshop,

Sorry for the continuous problem~ Could I ask more info from you to help us triage the remaining issue happening on your side?

1. Which OS are you using now? Windows 7 or Windows 10 or Mac? Can you please give us the detailed info about your OS?

2. Can you please share with us about your OS account name info? e.g. the path like C:\Users\<your user name>\ or a snapshot of your account like the attached one for me.

Why I'm asking is that actually we've partially fixed this problem for some customers and the problem we found for that is there is non-ASCII characters included in computer account and some local disk file paths used by Fusion additive functions. So if you can help check if there is any potential risk like this in your system, that may help.

Keep updated, please.

Thanks,

Debbie

I also continue to be unsuccessful with additive.

I create a new design which is just a rectangular block 40x20x15mm.

I go to manufacturing and create a new setup by downloading a fresh machine from the Fusion library “Prusa i3 Mk3S” and select one of the default Print Settings – PLA 2.85mm, 0.4mm nozzle”

When I look at the setup, the machine and Print Setttings are there but there is always the red exclamation mark. Clicking on this gives me an empty log file.

If I then Right click on the setup and select “Generate”, the log file says the following:-

Error: Unexpected problems while preparing toolpath creation.

Error: No FFF Context available.

Error: Could not create FFF Context, FFF machines are not available

Error: IronAdditiveUtils::getLibTorpedoDllWrapper():Library cant be loaded, FFF machines are not available

Error: TorpedoFeature::getTorpedoBuildstyleData(): Could not read FFF resources

If I double click on the machine under the setup, it looks valid.

If I double click on print settings under the setup and select any material, in the “Info” section, it only shows data for TECHNOLOGY (FFF) and LAYER HEIGHT (0.1mm or whaterver). All other fields are blank.

My version number is 2.0.9313

I am running on Win7

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there still no solution to this problem? I'm still experiencing the same issue! Cannot for the life of me figure out what's going on. I have tried reinstalling Fusion several times without success, even bought fusion instead of using "hobbyist" license in hopes that would help...

Had the same problem, updating to latest fusion version didn’t help, reinstalling fusion didn’t help. Updated my PC from windows 7 to windows 10, installed Fusion and now don’t get error message and all works fine.

I'm running Windows 10, maybe I'll try reinstalling it. Seems like the only option left that I've not yet tried.

I am pleased to hear that you have found a solution to your problem. I too was considering changing to Win10, even though I have no other reason to. However, it is clear from mackant's answer that Win10 wasn't the answer for him.

Wouldn't it be good if someone from Auto Desk read these posts and did something about it.

I am using Windows 7 Professional, and the file path for my Fusion 360 shortcut is C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\6a0c9611291d45bb9226980209917c3d

If there is anything else I can provide to help please let me know.

I've finally got the printing to work agian, it just took buiyng a new computer. It still doesn't work on my old one though... and I havn't the slightest clue to why that is. Except for 3D printing in fusion the old computer seems to work just fine(even with other tasks in Fusion). I'm running windows 10 on both computers so that's not the issue, I've reinstalled fusion several times also. Since I now have another computer I think I'll test to reinstall the whole computer just out of curiosity. I fail too see why that would be the problem though...

This is my first time using this additive feature.

milling and turning no problem I have molded and ran CNC machines with this software. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with this function but I am unable to generate a tool path.

using an ender 3. i can use another software with my STL. file and print but I am trying to do it though fusion 360.

I have tried multiple machines to see if it was just the ender having problems, but to no avail.

this is the error I'm getting:

Error: Unexpected problems while preparing toolpath creation.

Error: No FFF Context available.

Error: Could not create FFF Context, FFF machines are not available

Error: IronAdditiveUtils::getLibTorpedoDllWrapper():Library cant be loaded, FFF machines are not available

Error: TorpedoFeature::readTorpedoResources(): Could not read FFF resources

I sympathise with you. I still haven't got it working on my PC despite doing a full re install of Fusion. I have put it down to the fact that my PC runs Win7 but I know that others have got it running on Win7. I get a similar error message -

Error: TorpedoFeature::readTorpedoResources(): Could not read FFF resources

I don't think it is anything you are doing but rather an unresolved bug in F360. The reason I say this is that the EXACT same fusion file works fine on my Win10 laptop.
