I am struggling to "Pull" on a curve during an embossing process. Could i please ask someone to assist and advise where i am going wrong?

Exaggerated in this image (1mm rather than .2) for clarity.
I've tried that too, but it does not create the same geometry.
I figures that at 0.2mm not going to make much difference on the sides of the letters.

Iv been tryed doing a million ways and nothing worked.

Seems i did not actually win.
My bodies are not in 1 like yours and its not extruding.
I things if u could please do a step by step for me. I am really new at this.
I also see the lines are creating a problem for me, how does one get rid of me?
