Drawing Scale linking to last opened view

We have a drawing template that uses the Drawing Scale attribute in the Attributes dialogue to automatically populate the sheet scale information in our title block. If I double click on a view other than the first one I set, however, the Drawing Scale attribute will update to the scale of whatever I just opened. A lot of times, this includes "(From parent)" in the sheet scale box and it tries to squeeze "X:X (From parent)" into the tiny sheet scale section in my title block.

Is there a way to define which view the Drawing Scale attribute pulls from? Or at least, is there a way to exclude the "(From parent)" text from the sheet scale when I open a child view?

Nope. This issue was introduced when they updated the Scale attribute to actually change when the base view scale was changed (which was a good thing, as previously it would only show the scale that the base view was set to when first applied). Would love for this to get fixed, among the numerous other issues with Drawings.
