Drawing Environment - Custom Attributes - Auto-Text

Hello!

This is my first time posting here. I have been using Fusion for several years but have never really used the drawing side of it.

The company I work for uses Sketchup Layout for drawings and the constant importing/exporting of files is something that bothers me and slows down my workflow.

I was wondering if Fusion has the ability to create auto-text similar to that of Sketchup Layout. I know it has "custom attributes" but I am unsure how best to utilize those.

In addition, I was wondering if its possible to have multiple custom attributes on a single text line, for example, having a text box with "<Product> - <Project> - <Version>" all together?

Below I have an example of a template my company uses for SKP Layout. It has a lot of autotext that allows for a great template that can be used for any product drawing. So you just replace the text in the document setup and it auto populates throughout the drawing set.

I am trying to get my company to utilize the Fusion Drawing environment, but they are hesitant because they are used to the high fidelity drawings of Sketchup.

Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Thank you Kyle!

That is helpful!

I was wondering if there is the ability for it to auto populate multiple locations if they are using the same attribute.

For example, if I have "<Product>" in four locations on a single page, is there a way for me to change one and have them all switch to the new text? Or would I just have to switch all of them manually?

Thanks!

At the moment it is not able to "link" custom attributes together by name and these need to be done manually.

Would be great to have a pipe to create text from parameters. E.g. mark different 3D printed variants with the varying parameter, for making comparisons easier after they are printed. Automatic labeling. Support for variables in the text field, basically.
