Perfect demo of how it is supposed to work. (Not your sketching, rectangular pattern would be quicker)

Picking a centre line first, invokes a Diameter dimension.

A center line in a sketch is used to easily dimension a diameter of a sketch that will probably be used in a Rotational feature.  You can right click and change it into a radius dimension if you desire.  It is not normally used to denote the center of a sketch box, as you have done, to locate the two boxes from each other, a Construction Line is used for that. Video will explain the use of a center line for dimensioning.

Thank you for this helpful video. When I sketch out my part I usually draw the centerline first and try to work of that so that I can revolve my sketch later. Can I draw a diameter line from a centerline or do I first need to draw the radius and then classify it as a diameter line of the center? I find dividing the diameter/2 calculation for sketching that I am currently doing rather tedious. Any help is higly appreciated. And appologies in case my question was not clear. Attaching picture for reference.

The video is about what I mention in your other post.  I hope you understand how versatile the sketch Centerline can be.
