Is there something I need to do in settings to over come this problem all was fine until the up date.

Iv up dated my drivers restarted the PC messed with settings and still nothing.

I do get a screen on start up saying that there might be a fire wall stopping something but I have no fire wall in place and never had before the up date.

For me it was again working fine after the secondreinstallation and now trying again to tsart the app, I have again the problem.

So it looks as I have to do a CLEAN reinstall after each restart of the program.

Hi All,

Thanks for reaching out! We are continuing to investigate this behavior and apologize for any inconveniences it has caused you. Moving forward, I have a few troubleshooting thoughts:

Hopefully this helps! If you are continuing to see problems, please attach your diagnostic log files to this forum thread - I am happy to pass them along to the development team to continue investigating this behavior.

I tried everything, reinstalling, resetting, run as admin, tried different networks, both with wifi and cable.. nothing worked so i snapped and formated the entire C: drive and installed a clean copy of Windows 7, i took my time and uppdated every driver, security uppdate etc etc before inställning a clean copy of Fusion. Thank the gods, that worked

I took me 5 h of troubleshooting and another 7 h of reinstalling everything, i hope it Still works next time i open the computer or i will not be using fusion anymore

I ran Windows Update and after the update completed I started Fusion where it had me log in.  It worked this time.

But once I closed the Fusion and reopened it the same error returned.

Fusion is still unusable.

Attached new Diag Logs.

I have one W7 home edition NOT working and also have one W7 pro edition (on an other computer) that IS working. The W7 pro gave me a lot of errors when starting but seems to be working.

Same here, W10 working and W7 not working.

Can we have that .dll file to put where it needs to be?

HI hudmut,

What exactly did you do to fix it.  IT was unclear in your original post.  Yes I am on Windows 7Pro.

Hi all,

For those who had the missing .dll issue (or in turn - the adcefwebbrowser.exe), let's try a few things. I had one user with this exact issue - launched Fusion, grey data panel, error about adcefwebbrowser.exe missing. When going to the folder that contained adcefwebbrowser.exe

C:/users/<username>/appdata/local/autodesk/webdeploy/production/2fc56ab2b960a23a37cc37a3688c13a7f7fa1ecc7/WIN64

Then running adcefwebbrowser.exe, we found that it complained about missing .dll files (as another user mentioned earlier in this post - mfc140u.dll and vcruntime.dll). These .dll are apart of Visual Studio and should come with Windows.

What we found was we needed to update Visual Studio (per this link here) and then restart Windows. After restarting, Fusion seemed to work okay (although on initial launch the data panel was white. Restarting Fusion fixed this).

Can you guys try this workflow and let me know the results? Also, let me know if you need help - I know this can be a bit confusing.

Thanks,

James.Youmatz,

I have tried what you suggested.  I think I have Visual Studio 2010.  When I download the latest service pack it gives me an error about not having the right platform.  Please see attached.  How do I confirm which version of visual studio I have?  Any help would appreciated.  Almost 2 days of this now.

Cheers,

Philip

Hi James,

I installed the new visual studio & i'm still getting the white data panel.

I've opened & closed Fusion several times & also restarted my computer several times.

I'm still getting the white data panel, but if i hide the data panel for a few seconds & then show it again everything is back to normal.

Attached is my latest log file if you want to take a look.  (I'm running Fusion on a windows 7 laptop.)

Thanks to you & the team for stompin this bug

Please try this:

Copy these files from fusion installation folder to its sub-folder WIN64:

- mfc140u.dll

- msvcp140.dll

- vccorlib140.dll

- vcomp140.dll

- vcruntime140.dll

And run fusion again, please tell us  If the problem persists, if it does, please run AdCefWebBrowserTest.exe(in WIN64 sub-folder), and tell us the result.

This may help us to reproduce the problem, thanks a lot.

Yes, for me this is working fine 🙂

Just make sure to search for *140*.dll. (I´ve forgot the second star in the beginning)
