Creating an assembly with Aligning two surfaces at an angle

Hi There,

I'm trying to lay two surfaces together but cant seem to do it without selecting the pre-generated points. The image below shows the top plate (with holes) at-63degrees. I would like to fix the top plate to the triangles hypotenuse making the angle -30degrees. Is there a way to do this without making the angle -30degrees? could I for example, could I select the surfaces I want to make contact and have them automatically move to position?

My goal is to have the components align in the image below. Except, I don't want to have to define the angle of which the top plate (plate with holes) rests.

Thanks All,

Austin Reyes

There is already a Revolute Joint at the bottom corner.  If deleting that one, you can

Slider Joint the midpoint of the lower edge of the top plate to the midpoint of the outer top edge of the triangle.

Set offset distance, or limits.

Thats idea works. Thanks for your help.

See my steps below.

Step 1: select corner along the axis.

Step 2: select the point (on the construction line) along the axis on the triangle.

Step 3: Click "Ok". Since the point and corner are selected, there is no need to add an offset. (working smarter not harder now!)

Step 4: results after clicking "Ok"
