Corrupt File

I was shocked when I tried to open my work and I got an error message saying that the file is corrupt.

I worked on this three hours ago and all was well. I tried a few older versions of the file, but that gave the same error message. After searching the forum, I tried removing the locally stored files in the "F" directory, but that also did not help. Please help, I have thousands of hours of work in this file. I have attached the diagnostic log file.

As I mentioned, I would save out each external component and work with them one at a time. Attach your F3Z file and I will take a look if you would like.  I will not probably fix the assembly constrains just secure all you files.

Thank you so much for your help. I am embarrassed about the mistakes in the file. Sorry about that.

I know I messed up there.  I tried to attach the file but it exceeds the limit. Can I send it another way?

I have a new folder in the project and uploaded the .F3Z file., from the newest version of the problematic file. The folder now also contains the referenced files. What do you mean by, "saving out" each one? I still have an older version open, some 30 or so saves ago, which I daren't close in case I can no longer open the newest one.

You're right, I found one that says it is corrupt! What do I do about it? There may be more...

So the component, "FUSELAGE F26 instrument panel" is claimed to be corrupt when I try to save a copy of it. Luckily this is a simple component and I don't mind removing it completely and doing it again. However, I do not know what the correct procedure is as I don't want to make matters worse due to future references in the timeline.

There is a feature in the timeline marked red, which I do not understand.

Please advise the correct course of action. (Is this thread now marked as resolved on the forum because I clicked on the Accept Solution icon earlier?)

I tried deleting that red marked feature, but have undone it as it led to this:

I do not know where you are located but it is early morning here.  I do not stay on line all the time as I have to get my other chores done.  I am going to send you a Private Message with my email address so you can send the F3Z file to me as an attachment.  You retrieve Private Messages using the Envelope icon at the top right corner of the Forum page.

Good morning!

Thank you. I'm in The Netherlands. I do not expect immediate responses, people should read and respond in their own time, also on other (social) media. I am happy to get any help I can get and appreciate it.

I have done a little more work on the area that I have to do in 3D, hoping desperately to get it done while this is working, so I can export the component shapes for laser cutting. However, fixing the file is by far the better option of course!

Hi John,

I´m having a similar issue here and decide to use this post to try to find some help.

Also have a file that won´t open. Already tried the different solutions proposed here.

Don´t know what to do next.

You have Shared the file so I am sure it would not open for me and it did not.  I am downloading it, in its native form and trying again.  I will let you know.

I can open the file without issue but I cannot seem to export or save it.  This F3D file is attached if you think you can get anything from it, maybe by using Save Copy As or Copy/Paste New to another file.  I did not try any of these.  I did save it as a STEP file and that is attached, maybe it will help you moving forward.  I have no idea why it will not save.

Dear John, I´m very sorry for not having seen your answer in such a long time. I´m not that fluent on forums at all.

In the (long) meantime I somehow managed to open an earlier version of the file which worked steadily. I think the issue could have had something to do with other users having opened it on a different OS (Mac). Who knows. I guess I also deleted some manufacturing models generated by the nesting extension.

Right now, I downloaded the F3D file you kindly uploaded, and just by going to the manufacturing space Fusion crashed instantly. So the problem remains, or at least for me, it is still there.

Thank you so much for your support anyway.

Had the issue of the corrupted files today too, clearing cache didn't work, was running the lastest and greatest update, but also had an issue that Fusion was wining my OS as being too old to continue using (win 11 pro) so something was wrong... No updates available, uninstalled F360 , and re-installed it again, it started working again.

The laptop it's isntalled on is a fresh, clean and unused device.

For some odd reason F360 always has the urge to loose functionality if you need it the most.
