Conic Curve Rho Value and User Parameters

I'm unable to use updates to a user parameter to control the rho value of a conic curve. When I create or manually modify the conic curve I am able to type the user parameter name to set the rho value, but any changes to that user parameter in the Parameters window do not update the curve.

Is there a way to use parameters to control the rho value?

Any update on this?  I'm designing a replacement waterpump for a historic engine. There are 6 mounting lugs to the block which I'm modelling in Conic Curves. The ability to set a Rho value and update the curves dynamically would be helpful - but not the end-of-the-world 😁

For those wondering, define you parameter unitless and it works
