Need legal information on this issue.

Am a personal user with the intention to subscribe. Can't find any info on what happens if my cloud stored design data is lost by autodesk.

If you are worried about loosing data on the cloud storage, I suggest you keep a copy of whatever you are worried about local as well.  There are two easy ways to do this, and a couple of others that take a little more effort.  The first is with the file open in Fusion 360, select File, Export and save the file to your local drive.  The second is to right click on files or folders and select Add to Offline Cache.  You can even work on these files Offline if you are so inclined.

You can read the Terms of Service which you will find under Help, About on the Fusion 360 application.  I am sure you will find some legalize in here to put you to sleep.

Here are some of the key things that I learned from reading the Terms of Service:

  • Autodesk grants users a non-exclusive license to use Fusion 360, but Autodesk retains all ownership rights to the software.
  • Users are prohibited from using Fusion 360 to create or distribute content that is infringing, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
  • Autodesk reserves the right to collect and use user data, but Autodesk agrees to protect user privacy in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
  • Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations when using Fusion 360.

Cloud storage providers are generally not liable for lost or damaged data. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. For example, if a cloud storage provider loses your data due to gross negligence or willful misconduct, they may be liable. Additionally, some cloud storage providers offer liability protection as an add-on service.
