chamfer command issues

Im having trouble with something that I feel should be easy!

Im just playing around and wanted to create the shape using commands. Im trying to put a chamfer on an edge using distance and angle. 6mm @ 20 deg. I did that no problem on one side of the part but i cant for the life of me replicate it on the reverse. When I input the distance the arrow isnt the direction I want.

I am aware that I could easily just sketch and cut but i want to know how to do it using chamfer

The part is attached, any help greatly appreciated

A little word of caution: Right now, this file just has one component in it, all at the top layer. If you add another body, you are going to start running into frustrations. Do a search on R.U.L.E #1

This should be in the support section. I'll request it's moved.

The problem you're seeing is partly a bug and partly a lacking feature.

The bug is the fact the chamfer goes along different faces.

The lacking feature is you can't swap the direction used. The funny thing is I've seen this is several programs and it never gets addressed or fixed. Don't know why developers are blind to this one.

@LibertyMachine Nice workaround but not always so easy. It's a real pain when the chamfer goes the wrong way on a cylindrical surface. Don't get why this problem is in quite a few CAD programs.

Weird that you cant infer the directions though.....
