Cannot display dimensions while in Design mode except when inside sketch.

I've used many CAD systems and I don't understand why I cannot display and edit dimensions while viewing the model in design mode.  Older posts and youtube videos seem to indicate that this capability existed when there was a Model. mode.  Has this capability been removed?  If not how can it be enabled.  I've search high and low.  Very frustrating!

Yes, this is possible.  Take a look at the attached Screencast for the process.  One thing I did not mention in the Screencast, you can leave the sketch visibility off and still right click on it and Show Dimensions.  You will not be able to edit them in this state.

Thank you JHackney1972 for the very quick response. Your demo works exactly like I thought it should but for some reason that doesn’t work for me. I am running on a Mac and maybe that is causing an issue.
The version I am using is 2.0.7824.

I cannot check this using a MAC but as far as the Fusion 360 version, everyone "always" has the same version because Fusion 360 uses automatic updating of the application.  I suggest you walk through your steps real close and make sure you do the exact same process.  Do you see the "Show Dimensions" when you right click on the sketch?  Can you make the sketch visible from the browser after the model is created?

Okay,  got it working.  Thanks very much for your help.  You actually have to add dimensions to the sketch for any dimensions to appear in the Design mode.
