Hi I am a student trying to use Maya for 3d modeling for the unity game engine, I am personally much more versed in fusion 360 then Maya and I was wondering if I could export a fusion 360 file into Maya and then import the Maya file into Unity?

Any help would be much appreciated?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting! I believe you can use OBJ file for those programs. Please refer to this article for how to export files from Fusion 360.

Hopefully this helps!

How do you adjust the quality settings of an OBJ/STL exported from the web portal?

Hi @Anonymous

I am using this Add-In.

FBX Converter Pro for Autodesk Fusion 360

 https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=4009665558731247469

Feature

1. Generate FBX file format(.fbx)

2. Quick process of FBX generate

3. Small file size

4. Control quality and size of generated FBX file

5. Choice of writing Normals in FBX

6. Colors and material

7. Unit option to scale model

Can reduce polygons!  Good!!

There doesn’t appear to be a Mac OS version of that add-in.

Although I feel this should be a built-in feature to Fusion. An easy way to get models into DCC applications seems fundamental.

Not for a CAD application.
