Can't start generative design graphic card problem

I can't start generative design. I got a message that my videocard does not meet the minimal requirements. What are the minimal requirements?

I'am using an iMac with parallels and windows 8. All my Design & manufacturing software works fine except Recap because openGL 3.3 is not supported by parallels.

My videocard is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB.

Hi @stiller.design,

Unfortunately, I think I just need to log this with the development team and see if we can reproduce and fix. Can you please post all relevant machine specs from your System Information?

One last though - try re-enabling the Intel card and trying to run GD with the Intel only. It is possible it will run with it, and would be a good indication of where the issue may be.

Do you have another machine you can try GD on?

Thanks,

Hi @Dmytro.Mukhin,

Currently, parallels is not supported. If you have access to Boot Camp, I would try that. I know a few people have had success using that.

@stiller.design - have you had a chance to try on the Dell? My Dell Precision (same model and card) can run GD just fine. I have logged the issue on your other Windows machine with our development team to take a peek at.

Thanks,

Hi...

It still won't start on my Dell 7710 with M5000M ( tried all the suggested methods : deactivate onborad graphics, with onboard graphics, right click start with dedicated card and so on...nothing works., have all the latest drivers though)

it runs on my old M4800 Laptop with a Firepro without any issues...though thats not how I want to work with 2 different laptops...

any news from the tech team? do they need any other informations? hope there will be an update released soon ....

Hi @stiller.design,

I've asked the development team for an update, but I currently don't have one.

Perhaps we can schedule a screen share session for tomorrow, for me to test a few things. It does sound like you have exhausted all options on the machine, but I would be really curious to see if we can't get it working.

Thanks,

I will be happy to do a screenshare session with you. Yes I tried all
options I could think of. It runs on my older Dell M4800 with a way smaller
GPU (AMD M5100) ....so I have no idea.

Hi @stiller.design,

Apologies for not doing a screen share session. I believe however, with the latest update of GD we have potentially fixed this issue. Are you able to confirm this?

Hi @stiller.design,

Can you try from this link here (might be the same one). If that doesn't work or downloads the same one, it is possible that you need to clear your browser cache first from the internet. I've seen this cause old downloads to happen.

Thanks,
