can't open previous version of my design

Hi,

I screwed up something in my design and now I want to go back to an older version. When I click (in my case) the V13 button is shows me a list of all previously saved versions. When I hover over the them it should give me a three dotted button with the option to open the file. Instead nothing happens, no matter how long I hover.

I'm on apple sillicon.

Thanks!

Are you using a commercial license or hobby? If you're using a hobby license have you got 10 editable designs activated? You might need to deactivate one.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I’m on a paid license so I think it should be something else..

Are you able to open older versions of your other designs?

no, I see all versions, but there's nowhere to click. I hover over the different versions, tried right click, double click. Nothing..

I asked about your other designs not versions of the one you're having trouble with. @Phil.E Any ideas on this?

OK, Hopefully Phil can help.

Just to be sure the dots only show when the mouse pointer is to the right side of your name.

it seems to be solved after a second restart. The dots appear again and I can open older versions. Seems like a bug. Should I report?

@mauritswoudenberg If you see this issue again, certainly return to this thread and we can take a look. Thanks!

I understand that this is a pretty old issue. But it still exists as of Aug 2024.

That said, we can still open the previous versions. The problem is that the image that's suppose to appear after hovering on the name of the user does not appear.

This is how  I was able to open an older version.

  1. Expand the browser window as wide as possible so that you can see as much of the user name as possible.
  2. Then hover over the user name against the (older) version to be opened
  3. You should see an invisible icon partially obscure the user name
  4. Click on the obscured area to open the required older version

I hope this helps.

@andymenon Can you confirm which version of Fusion you are on? Also can you re-install your graphics driver and see if that helps?

Hi  @RajkumarIlanchelian ,

I'm using version 2.0.19440 x86_64. I've updated by graphics driver but I think this version on my system is broken.
Another unrelated feature that was previously working and does not anymore is  the Drawing feature.  I've reported it as a bug on more than one instance, but subsequent updates have not fixed the problem.

I'm sure it was working before because I have created several drawings in the past.

Thanks

@andymenon The latest update is 2.0.19941. WE have addressed many problems from the past in this bigger release. Can you please update to this version just to eliminate any versions out of the question here, please?

Hi @RajkumarIlanchelian ,

I updated Fusion recently. And I tried to create a drawing from the same assembly that had failed earlier. I started with a small part, and I was able to successfully create a drawing.

Thanks for staying on this with me.
