Can't create group in timeline!!

Occasionally I find I can't create a group in the timeline. In the picture below you can see I've created one group that's very similar as in it contains a component then a joint positioning the component then it's features. For some reason the selected features will not let me create a group if the component's selected. If I select the joint then all features it works but as soon as I include the component it fails.

Just found another example at the end of the timeline with 2 pretty much identical components and the only thought is the second one was created using copy paste new. There is a warning but it's wrong, the component is identical to the one in the red box. Create component, add joint then create all features with the component active.

EDIT

OK pretty easy to recreate this in another design, see attached.

It seems to only be a problem if you use Copy Paste New on a component that contains a joint. The joint is converted to a save position when you paste new so it has to be deleted then replaced with a joint.

Thanks, @HughesTooling .  As always, you've done half of our work for us.  Narrowing this down to a small case is a big help.  We'll look into this further.

[edit].  Never mind.  I re-created this in even fewer steps.  I figured out that the joint is a regular rigid joint between the origin of the component and the root.  I added a screencast showing the simplest way to create this.  We looked at the model, and we think that there is a joint origin that is in the model, that is not in the timeline, which Fusion thinks is a missing, un-selected feature, which is why the group creation is grayed out.

@HughesTooling - the problem seems to be the joint.  If I delete the joint, I can successfully create the timeline group.  However, I've tried to reproduce this, and I must be missing a step.  What kind of joint is this?  Is it an as-built rigid joint between the new component and the root component?

I tried that, but when I did a Copy/Paste New, I did not get the joint in the copy.  Did you go back later and add this?  I tried this as well, and even that did not block the timeline group.  Where did this joint come from?

@jeff_strater  Because you didn't move the component you get a bit different result to what I got. If you've moved the component, after paste new the joint is replaced with a capture position. We've talked about this before because I'd prefer the joint was copied, capture positions are the devil's work!👹 The outcome is the same though, even if you delete the capture position grouping is still blocked.

Screencast shows with a moved source component.
