Can Fusion 360 read and edit the ipt file created by Inventor?

Hi, I'm using the Inventor Pro 2020 with a student license now and considering to use the Fusion 360. I downloaded the Fusion 360 with an educational license and tried to open the old ipt files I made in the Inventor. It seems like I can only add on features instead of modifying the original design. Is that true? Or, is that because of the versions or the license?

For example, the Fusion 360 only support the Inventor up to 2019 or only the Fusion 360 with a commercial license can support. Thanks.

According to this https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fusio...

IPT files should work with an educational license.

Fusion 360 does indeed support conversion and export of professional formats like Inventor's IPT (for all but "Personal use" licenses). In this regard, we do not open and modify the IPT itself, but first upload and convert it to a Fusion 360 F3D (or F3Z in the case of assemblies) in your Team Hub cloud storage.

You are also able to export the part or assembly back into IPT (among other common formats) from the File menu.
