Please see the screencast and get this fixed ASAP pease.
While I am using the tangency constraint in the screencast, the same "effect" happens when using the smooth constraint.
When applying the tangency/smooth constraint the orientation of the handle does not change reflect the constraint situation.
The handles also cannot be resized, an neither can the spline end points be moved, or dimensioned.
The behavior is only slightly better if a rectangle is sketched and not projected.
