Bug: Feature Control Frame Typing Lag Drops Characters

Hi,

When I type at regular speed in any of the text fields for a Feature Control Frame on a drawing, the text fields can't keep up and frequently drop characters. For example, typing "This is a note" in the "Top note" box just resulted in "Th aot".

This happens on both computers I use Fusion on. As far as I can remember it has behaved like this for years, but it would be great to have it fixed to prevent typos.

To reproduce the problem:

1. Create a drawing of any part

2. Add a Feature Control Frame anywhere on the drawing

3. Try typing at a medium-high speed in any of the text boxes ("First tolerance", "Top note", etc)

After a few quick searches I wasn't able to find any posts about it on this support forum, which is odd. I'm curious to see if anyone else has this problem.

Anyway, thanks for reading! Hope this can be fixed someday soon if it's not just me.

Hi @griffin.alberti ,

Thanks for taking the time to report this and for providing clear steps to reproduce.

I was able to reproduce the behavior on my side where characters are dropped when typing quickly in the Feature Control Frame text fields in Drawings. I have logged this internally for our engineering team to investigate under FUS-239514.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and helping improve Fusion. I will update the thread if there are any progress updates or when a fix becomes available.

Thanks again for the detailed report!
