Broken links after updating part

I designed a diagonal brace (http://a360.co/2rF80gx) for a timberframe shed (http://a360.co/2pvU6Jn).  I recently updated the design of the brace, and it broke all of the links in the design.

I think the reason for this may be that when I inserted it into the design originally, it was called "30 inch brace 3x5" and then at some point I later renamed it "36 inch brace 4x6."

I have the same problem with drawings based on the brace (http://a360.co/2sOU5So).  This version is working, but if you click the update references button, it can't find the references.

How do I fix this problem?

Thanks,

Dan

It looks like the problem is fixed.  I renamed the part back to the old name, then renamed it back to the current name, then clicked the update references button a bunch of times.

Now when I try to add new dimensions they have yellow flags saying they're not associated with the underlying geometry.  See the 3/8" dimension along the lower edge of the brace.

Any ideas?

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you on this.  Were you able to make it work?  I didn't see the 3/8" dimension in the drawing when I downloaded it, but assume it's this one (I added it):

Dimension.png

I saw the same problem you did when I first placed the dimension, it was badged as disassociated, and even re-associating it didn't work.  I was able to re-associate (and create a new associated dimension) by changing the style of the view to visible instead of shaded.  Once the dimension was placed I then switched it back.  This seems like a bug, the style of the view should not impact this behavior, I will forward this to the team.

Thanks,
Chris
