Autosave option in Fusion 360

Hi

I am unable to find the options toolbar that allows me to change the autosave timing.

It seems that with a complex drawing it's taking 2 minutes to save every 5 minutes wasting half my time. This started after i did mutliple combines of bodies.

I have no idea what version of Fusion 360 I'm running as I can't find an "About" button.

I have searched the Forums but can't find the basic information

Am I missing something here? like another toolbar?

Please help.

Hello @martinjlane,

Can you see the profile and help bar in the upper right corner of the user interface?

If so, click your name and select Preferences. You can change the automatic recovery save time interval from the default 5 Minutes by accessing the General settings tab in the Preferences dialog box.

You can check the version of the software by clicking the question mark in the upper right corner and choosing "About".

Best regards,

Hi Pawel

Yes I have this, the Version is 2.0.3803

I have adjusted the "Automatic Recovery Save time" and this works to a degree.

There appears to be 2 types of "Save" though, "Auto Recovery Save" and "Auto Save"

The" Auto Recovery Save" has changed but the Auto Save is still every few minutes and I don't have an option the change the latter.

Regards

Martin

Hi @martinjlane,

thanks for the update!

There is no additional auto save option at the moment apart from the one for recovery purposes.

You have the latest version of the software.

Please try to restart Fusion 360. Should the problem occur again, I would ask you to do the following:

1) record and upload a screencast presenting the moment the problem occurs or describe it in more detail (i.e. does Fusion 360 slow down in regular intervals regardless of what you do? Are there any error reports?);

2) provide me with your diagnostic log files.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
