I have found that uninstalling autodesk desktop app makes my life easier.

It takes a lot of PC power and makes other softwares crash..

Got a brand new PC the ther day and installed all my autodesk softwares and today I was installing intel realsense.

In that process the desktop app got cazy and 3 different send report windows from autodesk appeared...

I uninstalled the desktop app from this new PC the other day but desktop app seems to reinstall itself like a virus??

Why do I need it? why does autodesk whant me to have it? im doing just fine wothout it trying to minimize the number of apps installed in my PC.

Hi @et.teljemo,

The Desktop app is just a way to keep you signed into A360 as well as manage and keep track of your updates for all of the Autodesk Software. When it comes to Fusion, the ADA is not really necessary, but depending on other products you have from Autodesk, it may make a simpler update experience. Personally, I do not use it either and it is completely optional.

Thanks,

Ok. Thank you.
I also use inventor, mesh mixer and netfabb.. Plus that I have some apps that probably came with the inventor installation that I haven't checked out..

Anyone else had any experience with the desktop app making the computer run slowly and interfering with other installations? Or any other problems.. Maybe I just had a bad experience and it has been updated since.
I couldn't install realsense even after uninstalling desktop app yesterday so it wasn't desktop apps fault.. Somehow it crashed during the install though..
