Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for posting! It is unfortunate that your "Favorites" have not been maintained. We don't download all materials during the initial install process because it would make the installer take too long - instead you have the option to download materials/appearances once Fusion has been installed.
Can you clarify the behavior you are experiencing a bit? Firstly, are you referring to Materials or Appearances in Fusion 360? I ask because I noticed that every Material was available for me (and a few colleagues) in Fusion 360 - the option to download materials was not present because all of the materials were already available, even though I have not downloaded any materials. However, there were many Appearances that I would need to download to use. Both the material and appearance dialogues are accessed by right clicking a body or component in the browser and selecting the proper option.
Next, when does the favorited material disappear from your favorites? Is it immediately dropped after the Materials dialogue box is closed but the file is still open? Or is it dropped after the file is closed and a new file is opened? Or is it after the Fusion application is closed and reopened?
Unfortunately, I was unable to recreate this behavior on my end. One possibility is that a filepath got crossed during some update or when you were installing Fusion - perhaps performing a clean uninstall and reinstalling Fusion will resolve this behavior.
Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if it does not or if you have any questions - I am happy to continue troubleshooting.
