All my files are corrupt on Mac M1 Max

I am pulling my hair out over Fusion 360 right now. when I first downloaded it last year it worked perfectly. Then in October, there was an update that made it constantly beach ball and crash. It has become so sluggish and hard to use. Almost every click I make, it beach balls, then takes 30sec-3mins before it starts working again. So a task that should take me 5 minutes can take an hour to complete.

now recently an update happened that has basically corrupted every single project I have including new projects I make. Every time I save a project and close it, when I reopen it, it says it's corrupt. I can't get any of my projects to work and I have some that are critical and I can not lose them. I don't know what to do. How do I fix my corrupt files and why is this happening? I'm afraid to open any files that aren't corrupt because as soon as I save them, they become corrupt. and even when I try to open older versions, most of those are corrupt until I go several version back and have no idea what changes I've lost at that point.

I'm running an M1 Max MacBook Pro on Sonoma 14.3 with Fusion 2.0.18961 arm64.

Yes, I have been able to open an earlier version--losing hours of work on the corrupted version--only to make additional changes, save them successfully, close the file, and then receive a corrupted file error when trying to open it again.

@SuperheroSmith Would you be able to invite me to your hub that you have designs that you cannot open? [email protected]

Group and permissions created, invitation sent. Thanks!

You'll find in the directory my two primary files that are corrupted and cannot be opened in their current versions.

@SuperheroSmith Thank you. Got the invite. Looking at the files now.

@SuperheroSmith I am asking our engineering team to look at what is happening to this file. You did mention that the earlier version of this file opens. Can you please pass on that file (Open and then export) as well or post that file in the same project that you just shared with me please?

Thank you. The corrupted versions are 3 and 4; apparently version 2 still opens, and was exported and attached.

@SuperheroSmith So I opened the file that worked and did a compute all (Modify - compute all). IT took a while but it came back with couple of hundred errors. It seems like Extrude 175 is starting a lot of this with missing target body and a lot of downstream features are also having errors. It's very possible that all of this is leading to a corruption in the new update when this is migrated.

I will continue looking and will have our engineering team look as well but can you run the same compute all and see the errors that are coming up to see I those can be addressed in the design? Not addressing these errors will start leading to many modeling problems down the line.

Thanks for the analysis. I could not pinpoint the change that caused the corruption. There were multiple changes, and all of them completed without issue. The file saved. No errors. Only corruption when opening. At least on these most recent files. I did have a file the other day that failed to save due to errors, again, despite all changes computing without error.

@SuperheroSmith Let me keep trying and see where this is failing.

@SuperheroSmith If you have the model that opens, edit Extrude 175 and see what errors you see. It looks like it is missing the solids it wants to cut. Can you recognize that?

On its own, Extrude 175 notes zero errors. However, when I edit it and simply click OK on the selected extrusion, multiple failures occur. That was far back in the design. Issues have only occurred in the last week as I made additional changes, after a few Fusion updates.
