Align face selection bug?

When I try to use Align feature on some (not all) components, it tries to select  "random" edges and faces. If I put in selection priority only to body faces during align, it works properly.
But it works properly on other components, without the selection priority feature.

Attached two videos.

Why is this happening to some components?

@polbazs

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file that exhibits this behavior to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

@TheCADWhisperer  thanks for the reply. Sadly I cannot share the design publicly. But I tried to export and reimport the *.f3d, and the problem still persists.

One thing I noticed, with the camera type perspective (and perspective-ortho) the problem comes up if I zoom in close to the part. If I switch to ortho the problem goes away. Attached another video of it.

Maybe there is some connection between the size of the part, the perspective view and the selection?

Hi @polbazs , is this happening across multiple files in your hub or just a single one? Also have you tried 'Compute all' under the modify menu and then check if the selection still behaves the same?

Hi @jerome_alex_revanth, yes it is happening in all of my files, but only with perspective views and if I zoom in on the component (like on the videos shown before). I tried compute all, but its the same.
I figured that if the component is big (long) and extrudes way outside the camera in perspective view, the problem comes up. Also if I change the camera angle, different components are hit by the problem. So it also depends on the camera angle as well. (video attached)
