3D Print does not work with new MakerbBot Print software

Hello,

I was able to export directly form Fusion 360 to the older Makerware software, but since MakerBot has updated to a new MakerBot Print the export to printer does not work. I have selected the application through the custom print utility in the window and it starts up the MakerBot Print software. But fusion 360 does not import any part that are in the Fusion window.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community and thank you for posting!

I'm not very familiar with MakerBot Print software but I just installed it to test the 3D Print feature, and confirmed that the issue is reproducible.

At this moment I'm not sure if the root cause is on Fusion side or MakerBot Print side so I'll check with my colleagues and circle back here as soon as I have more information to share!

In the meantime, could you try the Export command in the File menu or Save as STL command in the right click menu to create a file that can be imported to MakerBot, and then open it in MakerBot?

We checked and this is an issue with MakerBot Print not Fusion. It seems like MakerBot Print does not support loading of STL via application launch variables. You may consider bringing this up with MakerBot.

Thanks!
