Add post to support Heidenhain TNC 145.

Yesterday I was trying this post to realy late night... I found two problems so far.

 

1. sometimes missing coordinate (probably if it's value = 0).

Example:

Without " X+0,000" TNC gives error. It needs 2 coordinates, even if X = 0.

Adding it manually - makes program works perfect.

 

2. milling full circle gives wrong command:

10 CC X+0,000 Y+0,000

11 CP PR+55,000 IPA-360 DR- F1000 M

According to the instruction from Heidenhain it schould look like this:

10 CC X+0,000 Y+0,000

11 C X+... Y+... DR+ RR F1000 M

 

Making for example 3/4 of the circle works fine. Maybe not how instruction says - but works:)

The post could be modified to discard the Z coordinate. But this is really not what you want when the toolpath actually has 3D motion like in your case.

 

So first thing to check is that you actually generate toolpath that only moves in XY and not XYZ at the same time. You should be able to adjust the linking and ramping settings normally. I assume you use 2D Contour and 2D Pocket. E.g. if your CNC cannot do helical ramps then you need to use a different approach.

Hi i've been using the TNC145 post processor , i have an issue with 2D pockets ....

 

So i'm not using Helix i'm Plunging and command lines don't seem right.

For example i plunged down as i would expect to but i still get this in the command lines with 3 coordinates.

The TNC145 controller only accepts 2 coordinates (L) see red below

Hi 

I would like to modify the post as i don't see the 3D motion in those command lines. 

Z is already in this position so even with the lines left in we would still only have movement on  X/Y axis.
