Scheduling

Hi

It was also important that when moving the mouse over the operations, the product parameters were visible, as this interferes with scheduling.

In addition to the information, it was also an idea to make it possible to readjust the time according to the stipulated time of the operation, sometimes it changes unintentionally and returning to the original value is a lot of work.

Thank you @robertoQ9D77 for posting this idea following up this post. We will add the product variable parameters to the scheduling by product and by operation views on the ongoing scheduling improvements we are working on.

Regarding the magic wand you mentioned, would that be for each operation individually, or for all the operations within a production order?

Hi @andrade_david

It would be for all operations within a production order.

It's the option that makes the most sense for us.

This is because our operations are short-term.

Hi @robertoQ9D77

There's the option to calculate all operations for a product on the production order by clicking on the magic wand on the top right corner. You can use this calculation using both the date in which the order starts, or the date in which the first operation is set.

If you'd like to recalculate it for the operations for all products, my suggestion is using the magic wand on the production order.

We could consider having the ability of changing the dates for all products available within the production order itself. Let me know if this information helps

Hi @andrade_david

This information does not help.

By doing this, and since our operations are short-term, it puts all operations on the same day.

If you want, we can schedule a 10-minute meeting where I can explain it to you better by looking at a practical case.

Hi @robertoQ9D77

Yes, we can revise this in a quick meeting. I'll send you a direct message right away and we'll take it from there.

Thank you for your time to discussing this, @robertoQ9D77

In a nutshell, the goal is to keep the start date defined for each operation, but recalculate only the end date considering the operation cycle time.

My understanding is that the operations time shifts because you accidentally extend them when dragging on the scheduling views. This issue will be mitigated in the ongoing enhancements because we will be creating an account setting that allows to block the resizing of the duration of operations and production orders. If this issue persists, please create a separated idea so other users can vote on it.

Thank you!

Hello @robertoQ9D77

I'm happy to announce that this improvement has been released today. When moving the mouse over the operations you can now see the product variable parameters. We've also included the Production Order parameters to the Scheduling view by Production Order.
