It would be nice if packing slips could be pulled up as listed documents like sales and purchase orders. That way the information could be edited and a saved note applied.
Thank you for your idea. Could you share more on what is the problem that you're trying to solve? Fusion Operations supports packing slips that you can generate after shipping the orders (partially or not).
It is not really a problem I am trying to solve just an idea of having a packing slips tab that could show every packing slip that has been created and make packing slips editable in the same way sales orders and purchase orders are editable. If that makes sense?
I understand the value of having a "menu" specific for it, nevertheless there are two ways to getting packing slips as of today:
(i) use the sales orders bulk action "Print Documents" > "Packing Slip",
(ii) enter the sales order, click "Inventory Movements Sheet" > "Packing Slip"
Similarly, could you elaborate more on what would you like to edit in the packing slip? As of today we show all shipped products and their lots. Would it be the list of products, or something else like the general layout?
General layout would be one thing, more specifically having the option of putting a "received by" and date for a customer to sign when the product is delivered would be nice to have.
Another specific thing that happened recently is that I shipped some things to Mexico over the last couple of weeks and Mexico customs requested the packing slip to show each product's country of origin and weight that I hadn't put on the original.
So I had no way of going back to add that so I ended up editing the packing slip through a google program.
I see value on allowing to having a way to fully customize Fusion Operations packing slips and other documents as well, so I've marked this idea as "Gathering Support". As a reference, you may also consider in the future printing a "Bill Of Lading", that contains some of the fields and data that you are looking for.
